The comedy by Brahmanandam as an aspiring hero is simply hilarious . He is pressed by his sister-in-law who wants him to become a great actor as a condition for the marriage. And the grandmother who thinks that her husband would have become a great hero but settled as an ordinary clerk due to film politics and expects her grandson to fulfill her desire

All six songs in the movie are hammble, particularly ' Nee roopu rekhalu ,and Manasanthaa vennela' . Three songs - The title song 'Uthsaaham', Vatti chapala Butta and 'Jane jane jane' make the youth to dance to tunes of the songs. Climax song - 'Prema… Prema…' by 'Sirivennela ' is a symphony of love, friendship and sentiment.

Chereography by Shankar of "Jayam " fame for ' Vatti chapala Butta ' and 'Jaane, Jane, Jaane ' are excellent and youth go crazy about these dance numbers
